My Review of "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World"

How To Train Your Dragon 3 ends on a high note due to the emotion.

The story line was okay. The problem I had was the romance between Toothless and the Light Fury, it took up too much of the plot. The idea of the viking's leaving the island was really well done. The marriage between Hiccup and Astrid was a long time coming, and it was perfectly executed.

The animation was perfect. How animation has changed since I have been alive just surprises me. The musical score was perfect as well.

Sadly though, the film's action scenes sucked. Animation action scenes are rarely well done, and this film continues to prove my point.

The voice acting was strong as usual, all the cast contributed equally, and that is also another sad part about the franchise ending, is that the characters will never be seen again.

The emotion and humor in this was the strong point. Toothless and Hiccup's goodbye at the end was well done, and the ending where they reunite was perfect.

Overall, while suffering from some problems with the script, and some bad action scenes, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World benefits from its powerful emotion, some incredible action scenes, clever humor, a great musical score, and strong voice acting to conclude the series on a high note.

Out of 4 stars I would give it...

3 out of 4 stars
