Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: Review

Another fun and cool adventure in the Ghostbusters series.

The story line was really fun, and it had a lot of heart to it as well! I loved all the neat callbacks to the original Ghostbusters movie that it had. The family dynamic was easily the heart, and the best, part of the movie. I was really glad that the original Ghostbusters had more screen time in this movie, and I loved how they addressed that they are getting older.

The acting was amazing! Paul Rudd has not lost any of his charm over the years, and he was the perfect choice for this franchise. Mckenna Grace continues to show that she was the best casting choice of the entire family. I cannot get over how much she really does look like Harold Ramis, pitch perfect casting. Dan Akroyd was hilarious in this movie, so glad he had a bigger role. Patton Oswalt, despite only having one scene in the movie, was so funny!

The action scenes were so exciting! Anytime they have a chase sequence that involves the car, I get the biggest smile on my face! Loved all the new gadgets that they gave the Ghostbusters in this movie! So nostalgic!

I only had 2 problems with this movie. 1. I really wish that Trevor and Lucky had more screen time together. I was really looking forward to seeing their friendship develop into a romantic relationship, so I was kind of disappointed that they had no screen time together. 2. I thought the pacing was a little bit off compared to the last one. But it was still fun!

They can do so much for a sequel. I really hope they bring back Vigo from the 2nd movie, and I hope John Noble portrays him. Plus, it would mean that they would hopefully bring back Peter MacNicol as Janosz Poha! I also want Trevor and Lucky to have more screen time together, and I kind of hope that Podcast and Phoebe develop crushes on each other, as they feel like the perfect duo!

Out of 4 stars I would give it...

3.5 out of 4 stars
