Spider-Man: No Way Home: Review
Spoilers Ahead!
No Way Home sees Peter become the comics Spider-Man, and delivers on everything that fans of the character could want!
The story line was outstanding. It had so much emotion, and clever callbacks to the past Spider-Man films! The way that they brought Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire into the movie was perfect, so much nostalgia seeing them again. The ending was painful. Peter and Michelle are my favorite couple in the MCU, and seeing Peter let her go at the end nearly brought me to tears!
The acting in this movie was outstanding! Tom Holland gave his best performance in this movie! Willem Dafoe has not lost his edge as Green Goblin either, even after 20 years. I have not seen Tobey Maguire in a movie since Spider-Man 3 in 2007, and he still has not lost his edge as Peter at all. Andrew Garfield in my opinion, did the best job when all 3 Spider-Men were on the scene. I have always really liked Andrew as Spider-Man, and this movie just did more to prove my case.
The action scenes and musical score was amazing! Jon Watts also did a great job directing this movie as well. While Spider-Man: Far From Home is still my favorite MCU movie, this movie is easily a top 5 in the MCU.
They have an endless possibility for sequels. Eddie Brock showing up at the end and getting transported back to his universe, but leaving a part of the Symbiote behind is very interesting. It looks like Sony will want to adapt the black suit story line again! They have also hinted at Ned becoming a villain, he does become Hobgoblin in the comics, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him become villain, it would also up the emotion as Peter has to fight his best friend! They need to bring MJ back as well. Zendaya is my favorite actress to play Parker's love interest, and her and Tom Holland's chemistry is unbeatable. At best, I hope MJ just shows up at the end of Spider-Man 4, and then plays a bigger role in the 5th Spider-Man movie!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife: Review
Ghostbusters: Afterlife honors the legacy of the franchise, while appealing to a new generation at the same time!
The story line involving the return of Gozer was perfect! What a great way to appeal to the older fans! The story flowed so nicely, and I was never bored for a single mintue! The humor in this film really stuck also! Even though it was brief, I loved the return of the remaining Ghostbusters, and their secretary! Hats off to Jason Reitman, he really did a great job and you can tell he cared about this movie!
The casting in this film was outstanding as well! Mckenna Grace did the best job, and she was easily the best casting decision in this film, she looks just like Harold Ramis! Paul Rudd definitely was meant to be a kind of Rick Moranis kind of character that has the one liners! Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard did great jobs as well! I was surprised at how much screen time Dan Aykroyd had, and the original cast has not lost their touch, though Bill Murray and Annie Potts have definitely gotten a lot older!
The action scenes and musical score in this film were great. The movie started off with a bang, and ended on a bang! I loved the scene where they were driving around town, trying to catch Muncher the ghost! Excellent scene!
There are so many possibilities for a sequel, and the post credit scenes definitely set some up! Really interested to see what kind of direction they take, and I hope the new cast returns, as I really loved their characters!

Dune: Part One: Review
Dune: Part one kicks off the start of a new franchise in the best way possible, and leaves plenty of ideas for a sequel around.
The story line flowed very well, and it did not feel like it dragged at all. The director, Denis Villeneuve, did a great job at building a story line, and focusing on characterization, instead of trying to focus on too much action. The story line also did a great job at world building, while still focusing on one specific story line.
The acting was outstanding. While every actor did their job well, the standouts were no doubt, Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Stellan Skarsgard. While I know that people were upset with the fact that Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Dave Bautista did not have a lot of screen time, I loved what whey did. They have perfectly set up a sequel that will have them in bigger roles, and the fans will get their wish, and be satisfied.
While it did not have a lot of action, I know that a sequel will have much more action. One other thing that I am wondering, did Josh Brolin's character survive? They left it like that on purpose, but I have a gut feeling that he is still alive.
As I mentioned above, there is plenty of room for so many sequels, spin-offs, and even prequels. The things I am most looking forward in the sequel include seeing more action scenes, character development on Zendaya's character and her relationship with Paul (Based on what I saw, it seems like her and Paul will end up together towards the end of the 2nd film), and for Dave Bautista to be involved more. Warner Bros. please do not screw this up! You have so much potential, just let Denis do what he wants to do!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage: Review
Venom 2 is a chaotic, but fun film that improves on the first film in every way.
The overall story line had some great humor, but I still have a problem with how Venom is written in this film. I really prefer how he was done in Spider-Man 3, as a cold blooded psychopath who enjoyed being evil. But, I felt this story line was not as generic, and didn't drag as much as the original did. Andy Serkis' direction was good as well.
The acting in this was about what you would expect. Woody Harrelson, in my opinion, knocked it out of the park with his performance. Naomi Harris also did a great job as Shriek. While I like Tom Hardy as Venom, I still dislike him as Eddie.
In terms of a sequel, they hinted that Detective Mulligan will become Toxin like in the comics. And with the post credits scene tying into Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, we now know how this ties into the MCU, and that Venom will be coming for Peter Parker very soon. It was pretty obvious that Dr. Strange casted the spell at the end.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Review
While not their best film, Shang-Chi is one of the more entertaining MCU movies.
The story line was very predictable, but it had a lot of heart to it, which ended up saving it. I loved that they really tried something new with this movie, and the direction in this movie was outstanding. I was glad at the amount of cameos in this movie also. I loved the part where Xu Wenwu mentioned the Mandarin from Iron Man 3 and proceeded to mock his name.
The acting in this movie was great as well. Awkwafina absolutely stole the show as Katy, and her one liners were great as well. I was shocked at how much screen time Trevor Slattery had in this movie. While I hated the Iron Man 3 plot twist, Ben Kingsley did a great job, and he once again did a great job in this movie. Tony Leung gave a heartfelt performance as the villain, and he was certainly one of the better written villains in the MCU.
The action scenes were amazing and they heavily exceeded my expectations. The bus fight scene was the best choregraphed hand to hand combat fight scene I have seen in the MCU since Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The visuals in the fight scenes also looked great.
Their is a lot of potential for a sequel, and it can go in so many directions. It was interesting to see Shang-Chi's sister, Xu Xialing, take over the 10 Rings at the end. Wonder if she will be the villain in the next film, or if she is still good?
Avengers 5 has been teased!!!!! I loved the ending where we see Captain Marvel (I loved seeing her hair look normal), and Bruce Banner. What shocked me, is that Bruce is no longer in Hulk form!!!! When the heck did this happen!!!! I need answers!!!
Captain Marvel, Bruce, and Wong trying to figure out what the 10 rings are made of and where they come from was very interesting. When they noticed that the Rings sent out a homing beacon, my first thought was Galactus and the Silver Surfer. Will they be arriving soon, along with Dr. Doom? We shall see!!
On a quick note, it was cool seeing Abomination for the first time since The Incredible Hulk, and I am looking forward to seeing him in the She Hulk series!!

Space Jam: A New Legacy: Review
While the Looney Tunes are as good as ever (Especially Daffy Duck), the voice cast on the Looney Tunes (Specifically Zendaya as Lola Bunny), and Don Cheadle as AL-G Rhythm are good, the film is a bland adventure that lacks the humor and quirkiness of the original film in every way. This film was inferior to the original Space Jam in every way.

The Marksman: Review
The Marksman proves that Liam Neeson can still do action flicks.
The story line felt like a mixture of The Mule, Logan, and the Highway Men. I loved how they showed how dangerous the Mexican Cartel is. Only problem I had was the ending, I wish we could have seen his step-daughter's reaction to what happened.
The acting by Liam Neeson was outstanding. Even after all these years he has still got it. Even the actors that played members of the Mexican cartel did an outstanding job.
The action scenes were very good as well. The scene where he shot the tires and the car flipped had me dying of laughter. The director did a good job in not going over the top with his action, and making it very realistic.

F9: Review
F9 is a shut your brain off fun movie.
The story line was pretty weak and predictable. I wish we also would have found out what happened to Mr. Nobody, I hope he is still alive. I was also glad that Hans came back, but it just wasn't the same having him around without Gisele Yashar (Gal Gadot). I was surprised that they kept Cipher alive, I guess she will be the villain in the next 2 films.
The acting was great as usual. Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris had the best one liners. But, I really thought that Nathalie Emmanuel stole the show with her performance. I loved it when she tried to drive a truck through London, I was dying of laughter. The actor that played a young Dom did an excellent job as well, he really did remind me of Vin Diesel.
The action, while unrealistic, was loads of fun. The bridge scene had me dying of laughter, as did the scene where Tyrese Gibson somehow survived the truck falling on him. Fast and Furious has always had a lot of fun with how they do their action scenes.
Based on the end credits scene, I really hope that Jason Statham plays a bigger role in the next film.

Cruella: Review
While it has obvious flaws, Cruella is one of the better live action Disney remakes.
The story line was definitely different than what I thought. I am wondering if they are pulling a Maleficent, where Cruella will have villain aspects about her, but she will overall be an anti-hero. The ending seemed to kind of hint at that. I saw the big twist coming, so it wasn't that shocking.
Emma Stone absolutely crushed it as Cruella. While she was not my ideal choice as Cruella, she proved me wrong and knocked it out of the park with her performance. Paul Walter Hauser was a scene stealer as well, I couldn't have pictured anyone else playing that role but him. Mark Strong gave an underrated performance, but it was weird seeing him play a good guy and not a bad guy.
The musical score was outstanding. Playing the song "Sympathy For the Devil" at the end of this movie made me bust a gut. The scene where they had a rock concert in the park was one scene I think they went a bit over the top with. The production and costume design of this movie was excellent as well.
I know that a sequel is in development, and there are so many possibilities with it. They could just go ahead and adapt 101 Dalmatians again, or they could go a different route. What I think they could end up doing is making Baroness Von Hellman the main villain and have her kidnap the dogs and try to make coats out of them. I could be wrong, but we shall see.

Black Widow: Quick Second Review

Black Widow: Review
Black Widow's strengths are enough to overcome its flaws.
The story line for Black Widow has obvious flaws. I was not impressed with the overall villain, but the story line had enough heart and character development to make up for it. I thought they could have gone in a better direction as well.
The action scenes were solid, but very unmemorable. Like I said above, they should have gone in a lot of different directions. The humor in this movie was spot on however. Marvel has not lost its touch in terms of its humor.
The acting in this movie was spectacular. While Scarlett Johansson was spot on once again as Black Widow, I really felt that David Harbour (Red Guardian) and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova) were the best actors in this film. Ray Winstone was wasted in this movie however. I just don't get how they could be so spot on with some things in the MCU, but then completely miss the mark on other things.
The end credits was good. I was so happy to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus back as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The scene revealed to me as to how this show will tie into the Hawkeye series. Looking forward to seeing it. I also think that they are building up either the Thunderbolts, or the Dark Avengers.

A Quiet Place Part II: Review
A Quiet Place Part II is somehow better than the first film.
The story line in this movie was amazing. I loved the introduction to Emmet's character. John Krasinski's direction was amazing as well. How he expanded the world in this movie was unbelievable. The boat dock scene was intense as heck, glad those cannibals got what they deserved.
The acting was outstanding as well. Cillian Murphy really added a whole lot to this film. While I did like John Krasinski's performance in the first film, I felt that Cillian Murphy was a better lead actor overall. Millicent Simmonds absolutely crushed her role. That young lady has a bright future ahead of her.
The intenseness of this movie was better than the first as well. While the first film had a better atmosphere, this movie had much better jump scares, and the dread you constantly felt was incredible. masterful job by Krasinski.
The potential for a sequel is endless. I know they have a spin-off coming soon, but I really want a direct sequel with Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, mainly because I love these characters so much.

Top 10 Moments From Zack Snyder's Justice League

Chaos Walking: Review
Chaos Walking manages to overcome its flaws, due to its originality and strong chemistry between Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley.
The story line was very original. While it started out very slow, the movie picked up once Viola arrived. The direction by Doug Liman was excellent as well.
The visual effects in the movie were outstanding, as were the action scenes, even though there weren't that many. My problems with this movie were the pacing, and lack of action scenes. The water fight showed why they should have had more action scenes, as the director is excellent at filming them.
The acting was outstanding. Daisy Ridley showed that she can hold her own, and that she doesn't need Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Ian Mcdiarmid to back her up. Her presence, in my opinion, really helped Tom Holland, and it also keeps showing me that Tom Holland cannot hold his own, and that he still has a long ways to go, before he can reach that level.
I hope for a sequel, but due to the response, and the box office numbers, it will not happen. While I wouldn't mind a tv show, or an animated movie, the problem is that Daisy Ridley will probably not return, and she was too perfect for this role.

Godzilla Vs Kong: Review
While not the best in the series, it is an easy improvement over Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
The story line was decent at best. You kind of had a feeling of what would and might happen, but I still loved the lore in this movie. The direction in this movie was solid as well.
The visual effects and action scenes are what I came for, and they did not disappoint at all. I was so much more impressed with these action scenes, than I was for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, due to the fact that they were fast paced, and not slow motion. The musical score was great as well.
The characterization sucked, but that was what I was expecting. I do not blame the actors though, they did the best with what they had to work with. Millie Bobby Brown and Alexander Skarsgard showed that they can make the most with what they have to work with.
Kong Skull Island is still my favorite movie in the series, but this was still an entertaining movie.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: Review
A huge improvement over the theatrical Justice League (Which I gave 1 out of 4) and it makes me want the SnyderVerse to be restored.
Everything about this cut was so much better than the Joss Whedon cut, the one thing I loved the most was Steppenwolf, and his interactions with Dasaad and Darkseid. I also loved that they gave Cyborg a great backstory with plenty of heart, and Flash was a major improvement as well, I am so looking forward to The Flash movie now.
The visual effects in this movie were great as usual, Zack Snyder never disappoints with his visuals. The musical score was great as well, much better than Josstice League. They need to keep Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL in DC, they are very important.
The ending with Bruce seeing the future again really got me pumped up. Seeing Batman and Joker interact was great as well. I really hope that they will let Zack Snyder do his last 2 Justice League movies, just to have a sense of closure. I also have my fingers crossed for a solo Ben Affleck Batman movie where he will fight Deathstroke.
Overall, Zack Snyder's Justice League is another great entry in the DCEU, that will thrill the fans who campaigned for it for nearly 4 years. Zack, you did not disappoint.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run: Review
This will be a quick review, due to The Flash coming on tonight.
SpongeBob's third movie has the nostalgia, excellent voice acting from the main cast, plenty of hilarious cameos, a great dedication to Stephen Hillenburg, strong emotion, animation that surprisingly works, and well written humor, that made me fall in love with the franchise as a kid. This was arguably the best movie in the series, and the only small problem I had was that the plot was not original, but even then, it didn't affect the movie at all.
Also, just watch it for Keanu Reeves, and Plankton and Squidward, well worth it just for these two.

Tom and Jerry: Review

While Chloe Grace Mortez and Michael Pena give their all, and the humor is great, the film ultimately suffers from a very predictable story line, the horrible decision to make Tom and Jerry side characters, and lack of other characters from the tv show.
