The Strangers: Chapter 1: Review

A frightening and intense film that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie.

The story line in this movie was simple, but so effective. It also worked at making me feel very sympathetic for the 2 main characters. The story line, while also feeling like the first film in a good way, has a lot of mystery surrounding it also, which I will cover later.

The acting was very good. Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez gave very convincing performances. You felt so bad for them. I am very curious to see how Madelaine does in a future sequel, as I have a gut feeling I know where this is going.

The suspense and atmosphere of this movie was so good. There were about 2 jump scares that got me pretty good. A film hasn't scared me this good in years, and it scared me to the point of keeping up at night, and getting spooked by any noise I heard. Loved the camera work in a lot of the scenes also.

I am really looking forward to seeing where a sequel goes from here. I have a theory that the Strangers are members of the town that we encountered early in the film. That town just looked evil, and there was a reason the Strangers didn't take their masks off in this film. From the looks of it, we have encountered these people before, and we would have recognized them immediately.

I hope that because Maya is coming back in the sequels, she will get her revenge on the Strangers. That's what I was hoping the last film that came out was going to cover. I really wanted to see Liv Tyler's character get her revenge on them, and hopefully they will do that with the sequels. Please don't mess this up!

The Fall Guy: Review

The Fall Guy is a fun & exciting action film that keeps you guessing!

The story line in this film was so good! It had so many plot twists that I was not expecting. I also liked that the film had a lot of heart to it, and it wasn't just throwing out comedy every second of the movie. The film's humor in this movie was really good as well.

The acting was perfect as well. Ryan Gosling was very charming as Colt. He also looked like he could be a stunt actor. Emily Blunt was charming as well. Her chemistry with Ryan Gosling felt so natural, and she did a great job at acting with just her eyes. Aaron Taylor-Johnson had a much bigger role than I was expecting, and man did you hate his guts. Winston Duke was so funny as well, and I loved seeing him getting involved in the action scenes.

The action scenes were amazing as well. The apartment fight scene was so well filmed, and left you wondering who would make it out alive. The car chase scene was so funny as well, and man was that dog a psycho.

It is too bad the film bombed at the box office. I would have loved to have seen a sequel. But at the same time, I feel like there was nothing else you could really do for a sequel.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire: Review

A fun popcorn film is the best way to describe this film!

The story line was very predictable. I knew exactly what would happen, and how. But, I will admit, I still had loads of fun with this movie. The humor in this film was pretty good as well.

The acting was solid, for the kind of movie that it was. Dan Stevens was very entertaining as Trapper. Brian Tyree Henry did a great job as the comic relief of this movie. Kaylee Hottle, however, was the one who stole the show. Amazing how far that young lady has come.

The visuals in this film were great. You could so tell that that was where most of the money went to LOL. But they looked amazing!

The action scenes were amazing as well! Loved the scene of Kong using that little monkey as a hammer, had me laughing so hard. Glad the action scenes looked good, compared to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, never going to get over that let down LOL.

There are plenty of ways for them to go for a sequel, and it will probably just be another fun popcorn kind of movie.

Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver: Review

Zack Snyder continues to show why he is one of my favorite directors right now.

I know that the story line wasn't very original, but Zack put in enough of his own twists to make it worthwhile. I am very excited to see where this goes in the future, as Snyder left plenty of room for a lot of sequels. I really liked that we got the character's back stories in this film, and wow did you pity all of them, mainly General Titus.

The acting was amazing Sofia Boutella managed to hold her own very well, which impressed me about both films. Ed Skrein once again stole the show as Admiral Noble, one of those villains you hate, but you can't wait for them to show up on the screen again. Djimon Hounsou was amazing as General Titus. Loved the intensity that he brought to the role. Zack has never whiffed on his casting choices IMO.

The action scenes were so good! Zack Snyder continues to show why he is one of the best action directors on the planet right now. And I don't care about the slow motion, it adds to the scenes IMO.

The visual effects looked amazing, but that is so normal for a Zack Snyder movie. Amazing how much better this movie looked on a budget that was less than $100 million, compared to Marvel's cruddy CGI. Zack takes pride in his visuals, and this film was another example of that.

The reveal that the princess is still alive was a twist I did not see coming. Really looking forward to seeing the characters journey continue! Lots of potential for future sequels, spin-offs, and prequel films! Good job setting up the potential Zack Snyder!
