Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Review

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a surprisingly good movie that improves on the first film in every way!

The story line was very sobering, and emotional! I loved the change in tone for this movie, compared to recent MCU movies, in terms of well timed humor! I really hope that they cut down on a lot of humor going forward in the MCU, and make more movies like this! Only small problem I had with the plot was the social justice message involving Namor's agenda, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

The acting in this movie was amazing! Letitia Wright as Shuri was easily the best part of the movie! She brought so much heart to her character, and I love the way her character has matured since the first movie! Angela Bassett's performance as Queen Ramonda was a powerful one. She brought a lot of humanity to a character that could have easily been one dimensional. Danai Gurira as Okoye was a good performance as well, no doubt her best performance in the MCU. I was pleasantly surprised that Julia Louis-Dreyfus had more screen time, she is a very well written character.

The visuals and action scenes were excellent! They looked a whole lot better in this movie, than they did in the first Black Panther. I also felt that the action scenes had a lot more weight to them than the first Black Panther film.

They can still do another Black Panther film, even if I have no idea what route they will take. I really want to see Shuri again as well, she is easily becoming one of my favorite characters in the MCU.

Juliet Louis-Dreyfus's role sets up the plot of the Thunderbolts movie! I am really looking forward to that movie, and hope that it does not let me down!

Enola Holmes 2: Review

While the twist was a major disappointment, Enola Holmes 2 has plenty of charm to remain a good movie.

The story line was fun. I did love the mystery surrounding it, and the fact that they put real life events into the story. The twist for me ruined it though! Moriarty is supposed to be a male, and he is supposed to be white, not a black female!

The acting in this movie was really good also! Henry Cavill once again stole the show as Sherlock Holmes! Millie Bobby Brown continues to impress me with her range of acting. David Thewlis, though underused, made the most of his role. I really wish David Thewlis had portrayed Moriarty! Helena Bonham Carter was again fun as Eudoria Holmes!

The chemistry between Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge was a huge reason why I loved the movie, and why I want a sequel. They are charming together, and I hope to see a sequel where Tewkesbury proposes to Enola, and another one where they get married at the end! Please make it happen!

The ending with Dr. Watson was a disappointment! Just not too fond of the actor they chose to play him. But I do hope to see more of Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, though that seems unlikely due to the fact that he will be portraying Superman more often! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and #BringBackZackSnyder.
